A World of Quilts XXXVIII


The Northern Star Quilters Guild will be hosting A World of Quilts XXXVIII on May 6 and 7, 2017 at the O’Neill Center on the Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University.

The show typically has on display more than 300 quilts which include about 200 registered quilts, and several special exhibits.   This year, our special exhibits include quilts from our Invitational Quilters, Liza Prior Lucy and Rayna Gillman.  displays by several of the guild Special Interest Groups, FiberArtNE, and the “Farmington River Quilt Project,” a 50 foot long quilt depicting 25 locations along the “Wild and Scenic” designated portion of the Farmington River.

A World of Quilts will feature our guest lecturer, Mary Fons, who will make presentations on both days.  Additionally, she will be giving several demonstrations throughout the weekend.  The show will have more than 30 vendors on hand to display and sell their unique fabrics, notions and other quilting supplies.
