A Broadway Lullaby

LIVE PERFORMANCE by Laura Osnes. A Broadway Lullaby provides a lively look at the rehearsals, recordings, and artistic process of making Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project, a book and CD of original lullabies and illustrations created to raise funds to combat breast cancer. The film and CD feature a star-filled roster of actors, singers, composers, and children’s illustrators including Raul Esparza, Sutton Foster, Audra McDonald, Anika Noni Rose, Brian d’Arcy James, Vanessa Williams, Jules Feiffer, and many others.

Q&A filmmaker Barbara Rick, Tony award-winning composer Rupert Holmes, and award-winning music producer Matt Pierson with JBFC Executive Director Edie Demas. Laura Osnes will perform “I Love You,” written by Oscar winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (“Let It Go”).

Laura Osnes was last seen on Broadway as the title role in Rodgers & Hammerstein’sCinderella (Drama Desk Award; Tony, OCC, Drama League noms.). Matt Pierson’sdiscography includes Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Kirk Whalum, Jane Monheit, and countless others. Rupert Holmes is a multiple Tony award-winning playwright and composer. He has arranged and conducted numerous recordings of his own songs with Barbra Streisand. Peabody & Emmy award-winner Barbara Rick is a highly accomplished director, producer, writer, and photographer.
