The Westchester Chordsmen Chorus are pleased to announce our Third Annual Free A Cappella Festival on Saturday, November 19th, 2015 from 2:00 to 5 PM. This year’s festival is once again co-sponsored by and located at Mamaroneck High School. There is no admission. This is a joint community service project of the Westchester Chordsmen and Mamaroneck High School’s Music Department.
Nine (9) High School A Cappella groups (male, female, mixed) from seven (7) Westchester area towns are scheduled to perform, along with a brief concert by the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus.
High School Names & Directors

- Pleasantville – Kathleen Warren –two groups
- Peekskill – Larry Delcasale – one group
- Dobbs Ferry — Georgia DeFalco –one group
- Rye Neck, Rye, Blind Brook — Ben Banker – two groups
John Fotia, President of the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus, said: “We are very excited about this year’s festival. With Mamaroneck High School, we are supporting and encouraging a cappella singing in Westchester. This a repeating annual event, with more and different groups each year, as is demonstrated by the increase in the number of groups scheduled to perform: this year (10) versus eight last year and four (4) different Westchester towns this year.”
The finale this year (which includes all groups and the Chordsmen Chorus together) will feature an original composition by our director, Keith Harris, who put music to the words on the Statue of Liberty: “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor.”
The festival was recorded by LMC-TV and aired on most of Westchester’s Cable Systems, and will be again.
