CULTIVATE 2015
Discover tomorrow’s masters today — before their music hits the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Metropolitan Opera. CULTIVATE 2015 opens the door to a kaleidoscopic world of sound and a chance to meet some of America’s most-gifted young composers at the start of their professional careers. Hear SIX World Premieres written by the Fellows of Copland House’s flagship emerging composers’ institute. These newly-commissioned works were created especially for this coveted, annual creative workshop and mentoring program by leading young musical innovators, and will be performed by the internationally-acclaimed Music from Copland House ensemble. Previous Copland House CULTIVATE Fellows have gone on to win major international music prizes.
This event is part of ARTSEE, a festival showcasing new works of art throughout Westchester County in celebration of ArtsWestchester’s 50th anniversary.
