All That Jazz
“An uproarious display of brilliance, nerve, dance, maudlin confessions, inside jokes and, especially, ego.” ( New York Times)
All-new 4K DCP restoration. “It’s showtime, folks!” After a 15-year restoration supported by Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation, Bob Fosse’s classic is back on the big screen. Winner of four Oscars, it’s the story of the massively talented, pill-popping choreographer/director Joe Gideon (Roy Scheider playing a man not so different from Fosse himself), frantically juggling his personal life, art, and intimations of mortality. With star turns by Ann Reinking, Jessica Lange, Cliff Gorman, and Ben Vereen.
Introduction by psychotherapist and former recording engineer Glenn Berger, who worked closely with Bob Fosse on the recording, mixing, and sound production for All That Jazz.
Opening Night Reception: Join us for a light reception at the Media Arts Lab following the film. Wine generously donated by Wine Enthusiast.
