Puccini’s romantic masterpiece returns to Covent Garden for the first time in over two decades in a new staging by Jonathan Kent under the baton of Music Director Antonio Pappano. The exciting Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais sings the title role, a young woman who must choose between love and luxury. Jonas Kaufmann appears as her lover Des Grieux.
