When a beguiling beauty appears on his doorstep claiming to be the daughter of his estranged ex-wife, Gabin makes the mistake of offering sympathy and then his heart. This twisty, slow-burning thriller fueled by deception, infidelity, and murder is known in English as Deadlier than the Male.
