“Southwest Landscapes” by James Maciel
The Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Southwest Landscapes” by James Maciel at the Harrison Public Library, Bruce Avenue April 6 to May 2. This exhibit consists of Sumi Ink paintings on watercolor paper derived from photographs taken by Jim during frequent trips to Southwest national parks.
Jim Maciel is a retired Social Worker for Westchester County. He has a BFA from Swain School of Design in Massachusetts. Jim has exhibited his art throughout Westchester. He is a member of the Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild. In Jim’s words, “As a Social Worker who has dealt with all types of human nature (now) I just paint nature.”
