Hudson Chorale Winter Concert

Mozart and Tin at Maryknoll with Hudson Chorale

                                         David Baranowski, Artistic Director

This January Hudson Chorale will pair Mozart’s passionate, beloved Requiem with Christopher Tin’s The Lost Birds, a poignant contemporary work that has already drawn much acclaim.

Mozart died while composing the Requiem, so much of the orchestration and several movements were completed by his student Franz Xaver Süssmayr.

In The Lost Birds, Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Tin sets poems by Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti, Edna St. Vincent Millay and Sara Teasdale to glorious music that evokes the beauty of birds, the sorrow of their loss, and the hope that in recognizing both, humanity can save itself.

Both works will be performed with orchestra. Please join us!

The concerts will be on Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25 at 3pm at The Chapel at Maryknoll, 55 Ryder Rd, Ossining, NY

Tickets can be purchased for $30 each from members of the Hudson Chorale, or at https://events.humanitix.com/mozart-and-tin

Half-price tickets for students will be available at the door.
