Organization Overview
Hudson Chorale celebrates David Baranowski as our new Artistic Director, following the retirement of Ira Spaulding. David has been our assistant director and accompanist for the past decade. A versatile musician, as much at home with Deep Purple as with Bach, he leads us now in online rehearsals. (Jamulus, a software program allows us to hear the whole group in real time.) We are preparing for a live-stream presentation in January, featuring Vivaldi’s Gloria and songs by and an interview with Irish singer Julie Feeney. We will continue to adapt as necessary to rehearse and perform in the months to come.
The largest mixed choir in the county, Hudson Chorale is a collegial group of men and women of all ages and musical backgrounds. Hudson Chorale selects its programs from a wide range of choral styles, from great oratorios to gospel. Recent concerts have featured works by composers including Haydn, Brahms, Bruckner, Mendelssohn, Fauré, Stravinsky, Bartok, Gershwin and Bernstein.
