C.A.S.T. presents StarKid Horror-Comedy Musical THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS at CAA

The StarKid revival of this show is completely sold out in Hollywood, CA….but Croton Academy Summer Theatre (C.A.S.T.)’s east coast production has tickets on sale now! (And it’s a lot closer.)  Performances, accompanied by a live band, are Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2 at 7:30 pm, with matinees at 2:30 on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. The show is PG-13.

THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS is a horror-comedy musical produced about an average guy named Paul, whose life is turned into a musical hell when an alien entity crash lands in his tiny town of Hatchetfield. In 2018 THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS had a successful, sold-out run, garnered millions of views on Youtube, and spawned two sequels (BLACK FRIDAY, and NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE) and an anthology series called NIGHTMARE TIME. Despite it’s popularity, only a couple hundred people got a chance to see the show live.

Joseph Riedel, C.A.S.T. Director, speaks in glowing terms, “You may not know this show, but our cast is super passionate about it— and their passion has ignited a creative drive that is rare in actors of their ages. That alone would be reason to see this incredibly funny, well-written musical.”

The C.A.S.T. show stars a multi-talented teens: Anna Bogenschutz, Declan Davidoski, Grey Freebern, Grace Geren, Bridget Haas, Caroline Haas, Isaac Hiller, Even Howell, Anne Knudson, Erin Mulliken, Nola Nunziata, Lily Olvera and Henry Schuerman.

Director: Joseph Riedel, Musical Director: Harold Gutierrez, Choreographer: Emily Riedel.

THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS is a Team StarKid Musical, written by Nick and Matt Lang with Lyrics by Jeff Blim.

Croton Academy of Arts is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation.
