SYSTEMS: A Group Exhibition August 1 – October 31, 2025

The Idea Kitchen presents SYSTEMS, featuring contemporary works by John Cox, Sarah Malin, Allyson Montana, and Margaret Ryan. Curated by Allison Belolan, The Idea Kitchen’s new Art Curator.

The exhibition explores how various systems, whether discovered in archaeology, art-making, or personal experience, shape the stories we tell and the meanings we create. From layered investigations of ancient narratives to the deliberate compositional frameworks and methodical processes each artist employs, these works celebrate the diverse systems that drive creative expression. Together, the artists invite viewers to consider how we make sense of fragments, patterns, and traces in both art and life.
