As a research-driven mixed-media artist, my practice focuses on creating artwork that invites viewers to notice, observe, and reflect upon environments I encounter. Through careful documentation, including photographs, frottage, and sketching, I capture the unique qualities of spaces and translate them into multi-layered compositions.
My artwork encompasses various environments, all united by a common thread of close observation and curiosity. The process begins with a fascination for the intricate details, striking patterns, and subtle nuances I discover, which I document through various means. These observations and documentation serve as reference points for my larger compositions and as artistic expressions in their own right.
My goal is to create artwork that resonates profoundly with viewers, inviting them to reflect on their own experiences of their surrounding environments and inspire a greater appreciation for the beauty and significance of our world.
