Grammy Nominated Professor Louie & The Crowmatix, from Woodstock, NY, have been performing since the year 2000 at numerous Festivals, Theaters, Clubs and Art Centers averaging 150 shows a year. PL&C repertoire is steeped in Rock, Blues, Gospel and American Roots music. PL&C began as the studio backing band for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, The Band. PL&C have been inducted into Blues Hall Of Fame, New York Chapter and hold a permanent place in the Canada South Blues Museum. Professor Louie is the recipient of The Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the Traditional Arts from Common Ground On The Hill. The musicians in The Crowmatix are: Professor Louie (keys-accordion-vocals), Miss Marie (vocals-percussionist-keys), Frank Campbell (bass-vocals), John Platania (guitar-vocals), Todd Mihan (guitar-vocals), and Dan Hickey (drums).
