“Griots — Telling Our Stories” at the Rotunda Gallery

In celebration of Black History Month, the NRCA Rotunda Gallery presents Griots – Telling Our Story.  African Griots are the documentarians of West Africa’s Sahel Region and shared legendary tales through the oral tradition of spoken word.  Griots are not just storytellers, they are historians, genealogists, musicians, and poets and in our exhibit, Griots are artists.

The exhibit will run from February 14th to March 30th at the Rotunda Gallery, located at New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue. An artist’s reception will be held Tuesday, February 14th.
