Westchester Chordsmen Present: “The Fifth Annual Youth A Cappella Festival”
The Westchester Chordsmen Chorus in partnership with Mamaroneck HIgh School’s Music Department present the Fifth Annual Youth A Cappella Festival.
From its inception this annual event continues to grow. In 2017, over 130 young performers crossed the stage. The finale in 2018, as in years-past features all the groups on-stage with the Chordsmen performing, SING SING SING! as arranged by Deke Sharon of PITCH PERFECT fame.
As many as eight A Cappella groups (male, female, mixed) from five Westchester County towns are planning to perform, along with a concert appearance by the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus.
School Scheduled to Perform
- Mamaroneck High School: 3 groups
- Peekskill High School: 1 group
- Pleasantville High School: 2 groups
- Port Chester Middle School: 1 group
- Edgemont High School: 1 group
- John Jay High School: 1 group
Stephen Banker, President of the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus, said: “We are very excited about this year’s festival. With Mamaroneck High School, we are supporting and encouraging youth a cappella singing in Westchester.”

The festival will again be video recorded by LMC-TV and aired on most of the Westchester and Rockland Cable Systems in early 2019.
