A singer-songwriter with a flair for nostalgia with her memorable mix of 70’s style urban folk rock and conscious lyrics. In 2012, Lindsey released her first EP of original compositions — Songs in the Key of 9.

Lindsey Wilson embraces issues of the heart and mind in her original music. She writes love songs, protest tunes, and lyrics of empowerment. Her influences include Nina Simone, Joan Armatrading, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Karen Carpenter, Richie Havens, and Tracy Chapman, but Lindsey’s message is all her own.

Kristen was recently listed as part of the “new generation of folk music” in The New York Times. With catchy songs, a penchant for storytelling, and inspiring lyrics, Kristen has been delighting audiences across the country, playing nearly 200 shows per year.

While constantly traveling and touring, she makes sure that there is always time to be part of the humanitarian organizations whose work she admires and which inspire her. As a result, the signature chemistry of Kristen’s performances is a stirring combination of music and justice.
