The Symphony of Westchester All- Baroque Concert
The Symphony of Westchester’s All-Baroque concert on Sun., Dec. 17 at 3:00 p.m. will feature concertmaster Alexander Abayev performing Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.
In addition to being the Symphony’s concertmaster, Abayev performs as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States and abroad and participates in many international music festivals.
The program also includes J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 5, BWV 1050 in D Major and Johann Pachelbel’s Canon. A snow date for this concert has been set for Sat., Dec. 16 at 3:00 p.m. The decision to use the snow date will be made on Fri., Dec. 15 and will be available on the Symphony’s website: www.thesymphonyofwestchester.org and by phone: (914) 654-4926.
Continuing the Symphony’s season on Sun., Feb. 4, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. will be the annual Family Concert, featuring competition winners, student composers and family-friendly ticket prices. On Sat., May 5 at 8:00 p.m., the Symphony of Westchester concludes its season with an all-Romantic program featuring violinist Tessa Lark.
All concerts are at Iona’s Christopher J. Murphy Auditorium, 715 North Ave., New Rochelle. Ticket prices are $50 general admission, $35 seniors (65+) and $15 students.
