To mark the 225th anniversary of Mozart’s death, La Scala presents a new production of Le Nozze di Figaro—the supreme marriage of the composer’s art with one of the best librettos ever written—directed by the extraordinary Frederic Wake-Walker. The music is in the hands of the finest Mozart conductors of our time, Franz Welser-Möst, while the lead roles are played by Diana Damrau (Countess), Anna Maria Chiuri (Marcellina), Marianne Crebassa (Cherubino), Golda Schultz (Susanna), and Markus Werba (Figaro).
