Pleasantville Music Theatre, Inc. (“PMT”) is pleased to announce our upcoming production, and Westchester premier, of The Toxic Avenger, based on the popular cult film.

A perfect event for the Halloween season!

Based on the cult film, The Toxic Avenger is a charming love story with an unlikely hero, Melvin Ferd the Third, his beautiful girlfriend, a corrupt mayor, bullies, mobsters, old ladies, and stiletto-wearing back-up singers. Melvin wants to clean up Tromaville, the most polluted town in New Jersey (just off Exit 13B on the Turnpike).  Thwarted by the mayor’s bullies, Melvin is dumped into a vat of radioactive toxic waste, only to reemerge as The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey’s first superhero. Affectionately known as Toxie, our new hero is a seven-foot mutant freak with superhuman strength but with a heart as big as Newark. With its wailing rock-n-roll score, The Toxic Avenger will leave audiences laughing in the aisles as it rocks the house.THE TOXIC AVENGER is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).  All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI,  www.MTIShows.com.  Books and Lyrics by Joe DiPietro.
