Kick off the season with Wane One, a legendary figure in the NYC graffiti scene, who will discuss his most recent street mural outside of ArtsWestchester’s building. Be inspired by Wane’s work and participate in a painting workshop led by Artist Barry Mason to create geometric painted panels.

Inspired by “Brick by Brick” exhibition artists Tom Fruin and Ori Carino/Ben Armas, learn how to upcycle something old into a work of art. Visual artist Miguel Cossio will take you through the steps of creating an interesting sculptural piece out of recycled items.

Students get to experience drawing with both hands and are led through a series of individual ambidextrous doodling exercises “ambi doodles” that them build in a collaborative piece. The process engages both hemispheres of the brain, utilizes kinesthetic learning, calms nerves, builds teamwork and is fun!
