Youth Creativity Camp (Grades 3-5) In Person at HVWC

Join teaching artist Misty Yarnall for a week of fun at Hudson Valley Writers Center! Participants will put on their writer’s caps and learn new ways to explore character, setting, and plot through generative writing prompts, improv games, and engaging crafts.

Misty Yarnall is a Rochester-based writer, editor, and teaching artist. She received her BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College and currently works as the Administrative and Communications Coordinator and the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center. She actively teaches creative workshops through libraries, homeschool co-ops, and nonprofit organizations. She is passionate about creating brave spaces for people to share their stories. She is the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center.
