Yefim Bronfman, piano, concert

Soviet-born Yefim “Fima” Bronfman is among the most talented piano virtuosos performing today.  His commanding technique and exceptional lyrical gifts have won consistent critical acclaim and enthusiastic audience response around the world for his solo recitals, prestigious orchestral engagements, and expanding catalogue of recordings.  In this first recital for Friends of Music Concerts he will perform two demanding works by Robert Schumann (Arabeske in D Major, Opus 18, and Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Opus 26) and three of Sergei Prokofiev’s dazzling piano sonatas (No. 9 in C Major, Opus 103; No. 5 in C Major Opus 38; and No. 3 in A minor, Opus 28.).  Photo credit: Dario Acosta.
