Writing & Memory with Kim Addonizio (via Zoom)

“You own everything that happened to you.”—Anne Lamott

This workshop will focus on writing your memories into poetry or prose with discussion, examples, and in-class writing prompts designed to help you mine the rich territory of your past. We’ll generate a lot of seeds for future work and look at some ways to structure your material. You should leave this workshop with a handful of beginnings, as well as many ideas to inspire further exploration.

NB: This class will be taught on Zoom and will be capped at 20 students. Registrants will receive the Zoom link to the email address they use to register. It will arrive immediately after registration so please check your spam folder if you do not receive it. It will also be sent the day before class as a reminder. Please review the course policies page before registering for any classes. Please email ask @writerscenter.org with any questions.

The scholarship application for the Altman Person of Color Scholarships, Limp Wrist LGBTQIA+ Scholarship, and the Need-Based Scholarships will be available on May 15th and will be due May 30th for all summer classes.
