Workshop: Connecting Form and Surface on Functional Pots

What does the decoration do? How does a pot and its surface work together? In this workshop we will make our work stronger by asking these questions of our pots. Demonstrations will include the throwing of clearly stated function forms, the application of and patterning with thick slip and impressed texture, and many personal techniques for creating form and shaping details. Open to intermediate and advanced wheel-throwers.
