Way beyond the physical postures, yoga is a complete system for physical and mental health and overall well-being. Both on the mat and off, we can use the practices of yoga to cultivate our overall peace and vitality. The calming of the mind is the true goal of yoga.
- Gain a simple overview of the history of yoga’s eight-limb system of ethics, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices as outlined in the Yoga Sutras.
- Learn practical ways to apply this ancient wisdom to our modern lives.
- Receive simple strategies to establish a regular meditation practice.
- Leave with tools to use on the mat to get the most out of your physical practice and how to implement yoga into your everyday life for overall happiness.
You will be seated for most of this workshop. Wear comfortable clothes and bring your pen and journal.
