What Is Your Work About, and How to Write an Artist Statement About It That’s Clear, Concise, and Compelling

You’re an artist creating a website, applying for a residency, or submitting your work to a curator. You know what your artistic practice is about, but you’re not sure how to express it in writing. In this two-part workshop, you will work with other students on finding the right words to articulate your artistic intentions. We will look at examples of others’ artist statements, and then you will compose and hone your own. Bring samples of your work. For all types of artists and all levels of writers.

Saturday 12/06/2014 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
