Westchester Choral Society Holiday Concert: Come Said the Muse, Sing Me a Song

Come celebrate with us in “Come Said the Muse, Sing Me a Song,” presented by the Westchester Choral Society, December 7, 2024, 3:00 PM at the Rye Presbyterian Church – 882 Boston Post Road, Rye, New York 10580.
This concert features themes of hope and faith. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata No. 140 tells us to wake, listen, and celebrate in beautiful flowing harmonies. As with Bach, Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo’s Song of the Universal – inspired by Walt Whitman’s poetry – invites us to sing of our shared humanity and dedicate ourselves to optimism in a world filled with love. We further celebrate this holiday season with Ecce Novum, also by Gjeilo, the Hannukah song Mi Yemalel, and the traditional Wexford Carol.
