Wellness Workshop: Reflections of the Human Heart
Join art therapist Kit Demirdelen for a workshop that explores the healing qualities of art and nature. This program will start in the galleries with a guided discussion of how major artworks in the exhibition Cycles of Nature express emotion. Then, participants will create their own artwork in Greene Education Center. Various fine art materials will be available, from oil pastels to watercolor. Finished works of art will be considered for a display of works that explore what it means to reconnect and recover after life-altering events.
This program will be followed by two additional on-site workshops on the following dates:
- Saturday, November 19, 2022, 1–3pm (for middle and high school students)
- Saturday, January 21, 2023, 1–3pm (for families)
