Wall to Wall – Bernard Mindich at Chroma Gallery
Show dates: March 10 – April 12, 2026
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 14, 3–7 p.m.
Chroma Fine Art Gallery is pleased to present Wall to Wall – Bernard Mindich, a solo exhibition of vibrant, color photographs on view from March 10 through April 12.
In this exhibition, Bernard Mindich transforms overlooked walls from urban environments—both domestic and international—into striking abstract compositions. Extracted from surfaces often ignored or unseen, the works emphasize texture, pattern, color, and composition. Mindich refers to this approach as “PhotoPainting,” using the camera as his brush to isolate and elevate fragments of the physical world into powerful aesthetic statements.
Living and working in Goldens Bridge, NY since 1987, Mindich has worked across painting, sculpture, and photography. Since the mid-1980s, photography has been his primary medium, evolving through thematic series that range from documentary observations to painterly abstraction. Wall to Wall highlights this range, from richly layered color fields to markings, symbols, street art, and anonymous messages found on public walls—what the artist calls “Modern Hieroglyphics.”
Chroma Fine Art Gallery invites the public to join us for the opening reception on Saturday, March 14, from 3–7 p.m.and experience Wall to Wall – Bernard Mindich firsthand.
