Viva Latino – Part 2 Yonkers Philharmonic Presents
Come tango with the musicians of the Yonkers Philharmonic and celebrate the Latino community in Yonkers and Westchester on November 22nd. Part 2 of “¡Vivo Latino! “, presents Latin music and folksongs selected by music director, Tong Chen and featuring YPO’s beloved concertmaster Urara Mogi, Flutist Carlos Jimenez, a Yonkers resident, and guest artists Ed Gonzales, Fung Chern Hwei, Alejandro Flores, and Reiko Uchida. Part 1 first aired November 8, 2020 and remains available through YPO@Home.
You will hear music from Albeniz, Ponce, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Kreisler, and many beautiful, heartwarming folk songs.
