The Marcel Breuer House is a mid-century model home first showcased at the Museum of Modern Art. Designed as a moderate-cost, expandable, and stylish family home by Bauhaus-trained Marcel Breuer for MoMA’s 1949 “House in the Museum Garden” exhibition, it was subsequently purchased by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and rebuilt at The Pocantico Center in Pocantico Hills, NY, as a guest house in 1950.
