Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s Course of Free Art Classes
at Untermyer Park for Children aged 8-16 years old

Come and join us! Discover your child’s hidden talent through the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s Creative Hands program! Each and every one of us all has a creative flair that just needs to be tapped, and we can help your children find theirs.

Taught by well-known local artist and teacher Zafiro Acevedo, our eight-session two-hour art classes start Saturday, September 2nd 2017. In our course, students will learn the basic mixtures of paint and use the genres of still life, landscape, and their own imaginations, to explore the mediums of pencils, tempera paint, watercolor, and pastels.

Student registration will be held Saturday August 26th 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon at the Untermyer Performing Arts Council office in the Cola Community Center, Untermyer Park, 945 North Broadway, Yonkers. Parents/guardians must be present to register the participants and sign needed release forms.

in our program is limited! We will create a waiting list for those unable to attend as we plan to do a second class in the spring.
