Underpinnings-Deconstructing Art

Larchmont, New York – November 24, 2017 – MAG Presents, “Underpinnings-Deconstructing Art,” a group exhibit that focuses on the process of artmaking.

 

This exhibition will showcase both the technique and creative processes involved in making a finished piece of work. Any work of art that gives clues about how it was made, like pencil lines left on a painting, or half-finished works, will be included in display. Completed works that come with short descriptions on what inspired its’ creation and/or how it was made may also be included.

 

An opening Reception will be held on Saturday, February 17th, from 3 to 5pm.

 

Gallery Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission to the Gallery is free.

 

Established in 1953 by seven local artists, the Mamaroneck Artists Guild is the oldest artist cooperative maintaining its own gallery in Westchester County.
