Two Tenors and a Diva!
The Untermyer Performing Arts Council will present Two Tenors and a Diva at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th, at Saunders High School, located at 183 Palmer Road in Yonkers.
Two Tenors and a Diva, a powerful trio of outstanding performers, will unite to present an unforgettable night of music.
VICTORIA ATWATER, soprano, known for her sparkling soprano and consummate musicianship, has performed most of the leading lyric coloratura/soubrette soprano roles including Gilda in Rigoletto, the title roles in Lucia di Lammermoor and The Merry Widow, Adele in Die Fledermous, Musetta in La Boheme, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in The Elixir of Love, Zerlina and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Euridice in Orpheus in the Underworld, Cunegonde in Candide, Joanna in Sweeny Todd, Christine in Phantom of the Opera and many more.
BRUCE REED, tenor, continues to make a mark as one of America’s eminent tenors. He made his debut with the New York City Opera as Camille de Rosillon opposite Beverly Sills in The Merry Widow and became a leading tenor mainstay with the company for the next eight seasons. Mr. Reed has appeared with such major companies as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Diego Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Florida Grand Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Canadian Opera, Zurich Opera, and Spoleto Festival (Italy), as well as the Cleveland, Arizona, Virginia, Indianapolis, Mobile, Palm Beach, Tampa, Rochester, Memphis Syracuse, Orlando, Shreveport, Gold Coast, Treasure Coast, Central City Opera Companies and Spoleto Festival (USA).
RINALDO TOGLIA, tenor, is a versatile performer whose romantic tenor has brought him success on the operatic stage and in his popular solo act, as well as television commercials and voice-overs. Rinaldo has headlined for Holland American Cruise Lines and sold out performances across the country including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. He has been featured at Caesar’s Palace, Trump Plaza, Hilton Hotel, the Tropicana as well as Villa Roma Resort and Villa Vosilla in Upstate New York. His many television appearances include The Food Network, America’s Got Talent (season 7), The Movie Channel and HBO.
