Try Your Hand at Mosaics – Workshop

Curious about mosaics? This 3-hour beginner workshop is the perfect introduction! Using the direct method, students will design and create a 4” x 4” mosaic artwork with a variety of studio materials that will be provided. You’re also welcome to bring personal items like trinkets or jewelry to incorporate into your piece. Learn the mortar method, avoiding the mess of grout while still achieving beautiful results. Taught in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, this workshop is designed for beginners and gives you a taste of mosaic art, with an option to explore it further in future classes.

A materials fee of $20 will be collected by the instructor at the start of the workshop. This fee will include a 4” x 4” base, mortar, and a set amount of material for this project. All tools will be provided.

Each student is welcome to bring one or two memento objects or relics, if they wish to use them in their mosaic.
