The Underworld Embrace with Andrés Cerpa

Poems are a space of exploration. At their best, they call on personal and collective memory to embrace the future, insisting that we sing. Together, we will read poems that confront the complexity of our human experience and face despair with the gift of imagination. By responding to depictions of the underworld in both classic and contemporary poetry, students will create, infuse and revise their work to continually challenge and embrace the depths.
