The Sky Tonight: Holiday Edition (Sat. & Sun.)
Take an awe-inspiring tour of the night sky as seen from our area, with topics ranging from visible planets, bright stars, and the Milky Way, to periodic comets, seasonal constellations, alien planets, upcoming rocket launches, and more!
Around the Winter Solstice on December 21, the nights are long and dark, with many beautiful sights appearing in the evening sky. This time of year also features the legends of light, including the Star of Bethlehem, holiday lights, and yule logs. We’ll highlight the astronomical connections to these traditions this month.
Recommended for ages 8+; 60-minute live and interactive show. Advance reservations are encouraged.
*Please note, The Sky Tonight will be offered at the following times:
- On Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm in December.
