The Sisters Duet!


Classical/folk music played by two sisters, Polina Beliakovich (cimbalom) and Alexandra Beliakovich (piano). Unique Belarusian and Russian classical and folk music played on a very rare musical instrument – Belarusian cimbalom, with and without piano accompaniment.
Polina Beliakovich is adventurous and exciting musician and concert performer. She plays a rare traditional Belarusian instrument called cimbalom and combines both Belarusian folk repertoire with international classical repertoire in her programs. 
A native of Belarus, Polina Beliakovich performed in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine. Since she began playing cimbalom at the age of 6, Polina performed at a great variety of venues – from philharmonic halls to town squares. In addition to performing as a soloist, Polina has performed together with several acclaimed ensembles and orchestras.

Alexandra Beliakovich is a versatile Belarusian-American pianist. She appeared with the Belarusian Symphony, Belarusian Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati and Manhattan School of Music Philharmonic Orchestras, Havana Symphony Orchestra. She has held recitals in Belarus, China, Cuba, Japan, Poland, Spain and the United States. Alexandra was a prize winner in several piano competitions, was featured on a WQXR radio broadcast and was a featured pianist at the 2018 Bar Harbor Music Festival.
