The Sanctuary Series presents “Ode to Mothers” featuring pianist Dalia Lazar

Westport resident, Dalia Lazar presents Beethoven in a special Mother’s Day performance.  A native of Croatia, her uncommon talent and pianistic ability led to admission at age 16 to Moscow’s P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory and performances throughout the Soviet Union. She continued her studies after graduation in New York and London with Ulrich Schnabel and Maria Curcio and was a finalist in the New York Concert Artist Guild Competition, making her New York debut at Rubenstein Hall, followed by her Carnegie Recital Hall debut in the same year.

A soloist in concerts and recitals worldwide, her chamber music repertoire includes works for violin and piano duo and piano trio, which she performed extensively with her late husband, violinist Lucian Lazar. Our post-concert artist reception will feature a special champagne toast for all mothers in attendance.
