THE SANCTUARY SERIES CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY WITH RACHMANINOFF

Celebrate Mother’s Day with Sergei Rachmaninoff as The Sanctuary Series concludes its inaugural spring season on Sunday afternoon, May 11, 2014 with a concert entitled “The Bells of Moscow” featuring piano works by the great Russian composer, including nine Etudes and Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 36, performed by the internationally acclaimed pianist, Alexandre Moutouzkine.

Mr. Moutouzkine is the top prize winner of the Naumburg, New Orleans, Cleveland, Montréal and Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competitions. He tours in the US and internationally, and is a professor of music in New York City.

For Mother’s Day, The Sanctuary Series’ traditional post-concert wine and cheese artist reception will feature champagne for all Moms courtesy of the Cross River Wine Merchant.
