The Quietest Place on Earth

The Quietest Place on Earth references Andrei Tarkovsky’s film, Stalker. Positioning the photographer as “Stalker”, or guide, the work of these artists leads viewers to unimagined, unknowable spaces. Each of these artists guide us through their specific vision as a biographer, explorer, historian, archeologist-asking viewers to unearth new meaning in the worlds that surround them. This exhibition will highlight the work of our outstanding photography instructors, Nicole Tschampel, Wesley Bernard, Sean Hemmerle, Marisa Scheinfeld, Sasha Bezzubov, Susi Dugaw and Kimberly Hoeckele.
