Sunday, January 18, 2015
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Hudson Valley Singers present THE GRACE AND BEAUTY OF BAROQUE featuring the music of Rameau, Couperin, and Lully, conducted by Eugene Sirotkine and joined by The New York Metamorphoses Ensemble.

The performance’s soloists include: Olga Xanthopoulou, Soprano, David Guzman, Tenor

French Baroque music has been described as seductive, religious, mysterious and sensitive. These Masters felt free to compose emotional music, released from the restraints of previous eras. Its’ beauty is sweeping and the feeling is intense. Imagine yourself in the Court of Louis XIV, the Sun King and be transported to another era!

The Hudson Valley Singers are a community chorus performing in Westchester and NYC under the direction of Eugene Sirotkine.* The group’s concertized works have included the Bach Passions, Honegger’s Le Danse des Morts, Schumann’s Das Paradies und Peri, and most recently, a full program of Mozart. The HVS is a non-auditioned chorus with a high standard of excellence. For more information visit:
