After a two-decade decline in the popularity and quality of Italian cinema, this 1988 film was universally hailed as a harbinger of the nation’s cinematic renaissance. Come join us for part 1 of this lecture as we review “Cinema Paradiso” through a study of its most enlightening and enriching moments.
