The Apartment Screening and Discussion

Bedford Playhouse will screen The Apartment as the January installment for Classic Tuesdays — our rapidly growing and successful juggernaut series offered on the last Tuesday of each month.

On January 27, experience the classic in 4k! C.C. Baxter (Lemmon), a junior executive in an insurance company, climbs the corporate ladder by lending out his conveniently located apartment for the assignations of his superiors. Complications arise when the young man falls for elevator girl Fran Kubelik (MacLaine), who is also girlfriend to big boss J.D. Sheldrake (MacMurray). When Sheldrake wants to use the apartment too, Baxter’s professional rise accelerates, but his feelings for Fran start to make him question the whole arrangement.

Bedford Playhouse Founder, John Farr will introduce and give a short talk before the film. Following the film John will join guests afterwards for continued conversation at Bambi’s Bar in the Playhouse Cafe.
