Tango Rendezvous from Argentina!

Back by popular demand! Under the direction of  Ruben Gerardo Monreal, this extraordinary group of vocalists, musicians, and dancers from La Plata, Argentina, weave together a unique variety of tango that includes traditional and contemporary tango music and dance. Hailing from Sala 420 Tango Bar, the performers have been presenting their shows around the world since 1988. As director Ruben Monreal states: “Tango philosophy lies in discomfort.  The musicians claim that tango is their music; the singer believes that tango is her sung lyrics; while the dancers insist that tango is their movement.  They work together with tension and beauty, and the result is thrilling!” Ossie Davis Theater.
