Taconic Opera’s 22nd Anniversary Gala: Opera Goes to Sea

Great food – spectacular voices – songs of the sea

Taconic Opera – now in its 22nd season and past recipient of the Arts Organization of the Year Award in Westchester County – will hold its annual fundraiser Gala on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the C.V. Rich Mansion, 305 Ridgeway, White Plains, NY. Start time: 7:00 pm.

All Gala proceeds support Taconic Opera’s exciting 2019-2020 season of events which will include a fully-staged production of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio, a world premiere of a new oratorio, Esther, by composer Dan Montez, a chamber concert with Taconic Opera conductor, Jun Nakabayashi, a Stars of Tomorrow concert featuring outstanding young instrumentalists, and free operas and lectures offered during the summer.

Guests will dine on sumptuous cuisine and honor important supporters of the arts while being treated to a variety of arias, duets and ensembles from opera’s collection of songs related to the sea and those who sail them.  Several of the company’s most favored singers will take you on a journey on the high seas and the high C’s – an evening that  the listener won’t forget for a very long time.
