Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

This musical thrilled by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler tells the infamous tale of an unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking vengeance against the vile judge who robbed him of his family.  The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. This provocative, new production allws the audience a glimpse inside the psychosis of a man driven to the edge when he loses everything.
