Sunday Scholars: Nature’s New Deal


Neil Maher, Associate Professor of History at New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University, will trace Franklin D. Roosevelt’s history from his childhood home in Hyde Park, NY to Washington, D.C., and back again. Maher will focus on Roosevelt’s Civilian Conservation Corps and its impact on both the natural environment and local communities of the Hudson Valley region. Recommended for ages 12+.
