Sunday Afternoon Concert Series: A Vocal Recital
Join us for an unforgettable evening of song as tenor Ryan Michki and pianist Ricky Moreira take the stage in a richly curated recital celebrating the depth of the German Classical and Romantic tradition and its legacy. Together they explore masterworks by Schubert, Brahms, Clara Schumann, Carl Loewe, Korngold, and Richard Strauss, weaving a program of storytelling, striking brilliance and poetic warmth. Presented in partnership with Young Musicians of Westchester. Registration is requested.Â
About the Performers:Â
Ryan Michki, a Spoleto Festival fellow and winner of the 2024 undergraduate Concerto Competition for Bard Conservatory, is currently completing degrees in Voice Performance and Historical Studies at Bard Conservatory. He brings a compelling presence to repertoire ranging from intimate lieder to dramatic
operatic roles.Â
At the piano, Ricky Moreira, “admired for his remarkably warm and rich sonority” is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music. Ricky is a co-founder of the award-winning AlegrĂa Ensemble, a
chamber collective, formed with Chloë Dickens and Sara Juneau, dedicated to reimagining the classical
repertoire and championing contemporary voicesÂ
